JEWISH NEW YEAR:  I struggled trying to find an appropriate greeting for the Jewish New Year that was meaningful, respectful to Israel and still be spiritual. I tried many different messages and then I read this:  more

I am asking for your support in a grassroots movement to create voter awareness of my candidacy. It has been a long summer, with little activity. Now we have previous few days to mobilize. I am asking for your vote in the Republican Primary on September 14th and in the General Election on November 2nd. I am asking you to get involved.   more 

I WILL NEVER APOLOGIZE:  I will never apologize…. That we are the richest nation in the history of the world.  We are richest in the individual generosity to provide aid to all areas of the world as demonstrated by the earthquake in Haiti, the tsunami in Indonesia and the hurricane in New Orleans.  more 

COMBAT TROOPS ARE DEPARTING IRAQ, WHAT NEXT?  It has been a long time in coming, but it has finally happened. The mission in Iraq has changed from combat to peace making, but troops are starting to come home. It is still very dangerous for the remaining 50,000 troops. Iraq is taking more of the responsibility; they will either sink or swim. It is time.  more

OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT OBAMA:  You are correct when you state that America’s founding principles demand no less, than the ability to build a house of worship, in this case a mosque.  But, first things first, how can the citizens of New York truly recover when there is an open wound in Manhattan a constant reminder of that fateful day?  And now a group wants to build a mosque a few blocks from Ground Zero, even though few live in lower Manhattan.  Can’t you understand the issue?  You need to lead America and this is how you do it.  more

ORIGINALIST:  I am not a Constitutional Lawyer, but I have studied the Constitution.  I am convinced that the only way to interpret the Constitution is to look at the meanings of the words and the summaries of the discussions as they occurred at the time of passage.  That would make me an Originalist.  more

FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY SHOULD BE NON-PARTISAN:   By not addressing the problem of entitlements and spending beyond our means, we are condemning our children and their children to a life of indentured servitude – servitude to the government – a lifetime repaying the debt caused by the greed and arrogance of those in Washington. Both sides of the aisle are responsible for this massive fiscal problem.  more

OBAMA AND THE BSA JAMBOREE:  As the report says, he will be missing out on an historic occasion, the Boy Scouts Jamboree celebrating the 100th anniversary of Scouting here in America. There will be over 45,000 scouts in attendance. He should be there, he is the honorary President of the Boy Scouts of America  more

REGULATION AND BP OIL LEAK:  WESTFORD, MA, July 21, 2010 - The Dutch oil skimmers are about 95% efficient in separation of oil from water. EPA regulations demand 99.995% efficiency. The oil skimmers are unable to meet that discharge standard. So even though they were in position and available to remove oil from the Gulf, they were not used. It took the EPA and other agencies over 45 days to accept the oil skimmers. During this time, an estimated 25,000 barrels of oil per day were spilled unabated into the Gulf of Mexico. Assuming that 50% of the oil could have been collected, over 22,000,000 gallons of crude would not have impacted the marshes, coastlines and tributaries.  more
